What are EYFS Group Grids for Writing?
The EYFS Group Grids for Writing are designed to scaffold the learning required in order to meet the Early Learning Goals at the end of EYFS. The grids include prime and specific areas with a focus on speaking and listening, phonics application linked to Letters and Sounds, sentence structure and composition. Practitioners can use the grids to plan and assess guided talk and guided writing sessions for early writers in Reception and support transition into Year 1.
